Paul Keene from our management committee was invited to speak at an event organised by Lewes Stand Up to Racism to discuss what can be done to stop the rise in racism, Saturday 11 October 2025.
In his speech, Paul pointed out “racism today is not only in overt hate but in the slow erosion of rights, the casual cruelty of bureaucracies, the calculated cruelty of government policy”. He criticised the politicians who make concessions to the far right, demanded an accountable media, stressed the need for solidarity and dialogue, for training and leadership and called for community, equality and freedom.
We also held an information stall at the event.
